Have you tried to replicate that issue with other Softwares? Like using photoshop, layers and adjustments... Using the brush tool or other filters like liquify and see if the laptop restarts then too? Try to make sure that it is definitely an issue that happens with capture one only

Yes for sure. My Mac has 150 GB left empty space, so I don’t see why :( still not working at all. I am new photographer and this is the only And first tool I have ever experience.

At this point, the only thing I can suggest you do is to uninstall and reinstall Capture One. Follow this link:

    https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002402377-How-to-uninstall-Capture-One-

to properly uninstall. Then download a new version from the Capture One download page and reinstall the app

I am having the same issue, though I haven't figured out what triggers it. It seems to happen often when processing images, but not exclusively.

    Capture One: 13.1.1.24

    Mac OS: 10.15.5

Usually, when a computer suddenly shuts down, there is a temperature (overheating) problem.

    Did you observe anything like

    • computer getting hot
    • fans running with full speed

If so, try to clean the ventilation parts of your computer and/or try to add some additional cooling as first aid...

In preference of Capture One under the General section set both instances of Hardware Acceleration to "Never". Try again and see what happens
