Canon EOS R5 tether support.

You'll know when it happens. Capture One does not pre-announce things like this.

It would be nice to know if they are working on it and that my workflow won't be interrupted because I have a new camera.

Ted,
It would be a surprise if they were not working in it but likely will need to obtain a production model camera or two before being able to start their testing and calibration.
Assuming all goes well they will complete the assessment and calibration and then schedule release of the update with a regular update at some point.
For camera manufactures with which they have a specific partnership arrangement this typically happens quite quickly after the camera's general release. Presumably early access to the required camera body is easier to obtain in thos situation and has mutual benefit to C1 and the Manufacturer.
For non-affiliated manufacturers things may take longer. That said iirc the 1DX, when it first came out, coincided with a C1 release just a day or so after first deliveries. But then that body had been a long time coming since the camera's announcement and it was an Olympics year so presumably Canon had made access readily available. That does not seem to be the case with all cameras and in terms of tethering in particular ther may be some special features to consider.
Such are the joys of being an early adopter.
BTW - are you absolutely sure that the new camera alone will not cause any interruptions to your normal work flow? Such things are not unheard of.

For those of us waiting patiently for the R5 support, It is possible to use the just-released beta DNG converter from the other company on the R5 CR3 RAW file. Then continue the Capture one workflow with the DNG file.
EDIT: Also, Canons Digital Photo Professional utility (4.12.60.0) is able to convert to TIF. The TIF can then be recognized by Capture One.

Don't forget to up-vote the actual feature request HERE. So they can get a feel for the number of people looking for R5 support.
