When did it work the last time? Was there a change to your system since then? e.g. WIndows update, firewall setting changes, an other update?

I would probably try to reinstall C1, if that does not help then deinstall and install again.

    Thanks for the fast respond.

This was my first thought, so I removed every update since the last time the software worked.

I just reinstalled and have the same issue. I opened various catalogs. As soon as I click on a image to edit, the program crashes.

    Very strange.

Can you disable hardware acceleration in the preferences before clicking on an image and before a crash?

I think we're coming closer. While searching for disable hardware acceleration I found this thread: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002404937-Troubleshooting-OpenCL-in-case-of-viewing-processing-exporting-problems

I pretty sure OpenCL causes the crash. As I disabled the hardware acceleration the program crashes. Below the settings is a message (translated from german) hardware acceleration does not work.

I updated the driver of my graphiccard (GTX 1070) and tried everything from the troubleshooting-thread. Only the part with the registry i not possible because I simply don't have the IntelOpenCL64.dll. Maybe that's the reason?

Edit: Happy to say: It works! I restarted my computer and it made some updates agin. I don't know why but it works again.

    Thanks for helping me

    Great to hear.

I once went through the link you provided and I think I also didn't find the IntelOpenCL64.dll

Such a crash behavior which you have encountered would have let some other users (depending on attitude, current mood or pressure to deliver some results) to bash the software and the company... I'm happy to see users not doing so. :-)
