Capute One and OS BigSur 11

I updated to CO20 in July 2020 while my Mac OS was Sierra 10.12.06, which was not compatible with Capture One 20.  Since then, I acquired other software that required an OS update so did to BigSur OS 11.0.1 and see that Capture One 20 is not compatible with that either. Will there be a Capture One compatible with OS 11.0.1

    Officially? don't know.  Unofficially -- there are several reports of people running Capture One on Big Sur.   I'll add mine: it seems to work fine.  I have not had a need to tether.  That is an area where I might be concerned based upon past reports of tethering issues when the OS updates.   I have read reports where some say tethering works well and others who say it doesn't work for them.

    My GUESS is that Capture One won't make an official "it is supported" decision until they've had a chance to test everything.   Or maybe they'll just wait until they see some large percentage of their users have upgraded to Big Sur and are not complaining.  ;)

    I am running CO20 on Big Sur 11.0.1 and have not encountered any issues doing simple PP adjustments

    Yes, macOS Big Sur will officially be supported for Capture One 20 and 21. The support is expected in 2020. Source of information:

    During the Capture One 21 Sneak peek presentation yesterday, it was also confirmed that Big Sur support is also coming for the new Apple M1 silicon hardware, for both Capture One 20 and 21.

    ...made a necassery correction to this self serving advice to make it more in line with the sad reality of this buggy product.

    I decided to download Capture 20 again and use the activation code given to me in July, it worked. :-)

    I upgraded to Big Sur.  CO 20 works fine, tethering (with Nikon D850) works fine as well.

    Just to let you know: I shoot tethered with aFuji Gfx, Capture One 21 beta and Big Sur, and it works fine.
