Capture One 21 for Nikon errors ALOT
I’ve bought the 21 version specifically for Nikon. The 20 version worked fine on my old Intel based MacBook Pro. However, the 21 version does not like either Big Sur or more likely M1 chipped MacBooks. It runs ok but keeps falling over mid use. When I try to restart I’ve noticed it won’t as the old instance is still running although won’t run (sitting in my bar ready for use) so I force quit. I’ve submitted an error log to the system admin but no reply yet after more than a week other than the usual auto reply. Anyone else having similar problems?

Peter,
When you write "I have submitted an error log to the system admin" do you mean you have used the "Submit a request" option to ask for personalised assistance or have you just sent the error report option that comes up after a crash.
The latter is very generic as part of the Operating System and is not the same thing as a request for help.
In addition to that observation if you are seeking commercial/professional level support you may want to consider the "Enterprise" license option. The specification for that service indicates that support is part of the deal and should be available within 24 hours.

Hi
Yes, I’ve contacted support via an online form but heard nothing0 -
Not even an email in recognition with a Case number?

I use C1 21 on my M1 MBP without issues, but it does help if you disable Hardware Acceleration. The other issue you may have is a migration from an old system to a new. You are best to remove all traces of C1 and then put C1 21 back on. Details of this can be found at

Definitely an annoying aspect of C1. I find myself either popping in and out with CMD= and CMD- over and over, or using the LOUPE (P) tool. I do notice that I don't need to go to 100% - just one level of zoom with CMD= sharpens up the image immensely, so I'm not stuck looking at a tiny portion of the image. Still, I wish it were as sharp in fit-to-screen view as Lightroom is. Perhaps a bigger screen would help, too.
