Did you try navigating to the folder holding pictures within Capture One? In library tab the System folders are below Session Folders, Session Albums and Session Favorites.

    Hi Dave,

thank you for replying, first of all.

If I navigate to the folder through the System Folders tab, I see the same, they have the red pencil icon.

It's strange because in the path to reach the photo folder I could see other pictures in other folders. Some of them have the "red pencil", others not.

    Hi Michele,

There are some limitations for editing pictures : they should not be in a gray scale colour space, and the smaller length in pixels should be larger than 512 px.

I’m new to Mac OS but I believe you might need to give Capture One permission to acces the files.  See this link for procedure

    Hi Robert and thank you!

I think you found the solution. All the pictures I see with the red pencil icon have the small length under 512 px. They're all very low res pictures.

Thank you so much! : )

Hi again Dave and thank you!

I am using Mac High Sierra and everything worked with the trial version.

I'll save your link in case I would need it later ; )

    Thank you so much!
