M1 Mac C21 and Canon 5DIV?

Hi all

I having an issue getting a 5D4 to teather to a 13in mac book pro with M1 chip running Big Sur OS, 11.13.1,  C1 21.

All other cameras connect fine ( 5d3/ 5drs) and BEFORE updating OS the 5d4 connected fine?! Now with Big Sur OS will not and runs an error message in C1. The camera error Jpeg message.   I shoot only raw. 

Tried every combo I can- different adapters/cables/update camera firmware. I can see in system that the camera is attached to the USB... so an odd one. Not sure if its a C1 issue or a Canon issue?

Anyone have this issue?

  O, and side note- that canon 5d4 connects fine to any intel based Mac running Big Sur and capture 21.

  Well, the FAQ mentions a "known issue" regarding tethering when using C21 on M1 Macs. It's difficult to judge though if this is the reason for the issues you're having.

  However, native M1 support is just around the corner. If you're adventurous (and know how to make backups before trying new software), you may want to register for current beta versions in with your C1 account...
