Latest Mac OS version not supported by C1

    Kim,

I think it would be safe to assume that at some point there will be a version of C1  - probably a future update release of V21 - that will have been fully tested for Big Sur 11.4.

Unless a Mac user can tell you that there is a Problem running V21 under BS 11.4 you will probably be OK. Usually, things will work unless the OS vendor, whether that be Apple or Microsoft, had made some sort of late change that badly affects the performance of some applications on some systems.

However, if you wish to ask the Capture One Support Team whether they know of any specific problems that would suggest BS 11.4 is not a good choice, the way to do that would be to create a Support Case using the "Submit a request" option.

Also, see whether any of the other Users in the Community have better information for you in the next few hours.

I am running Big Sur 11.4 on my M1 Mac mini and Capture One latest version is running with no problems.  Perhaps someone could confirm the same is true for Intel Macs.

Can anyone tell me if I'm right in thinking 11.4 won't be compatible with C1 21?

macOS 11.4 was released the end of May.  I installed it the day of release.   As with most every macOS dot release I had zero issues with any application, including Capture One.

And, for what it is worth, I had zero issues on the update to Big Sur, too.

Thanks everyone for your comments, I appreciate you taking the time to reply :)

I might ask the support team, just to be on the safe side.

I am running the latest C1 on a Late 2014 iMac and macOS 11.4.

Running a fresh install of 11.4 on a 2018 13" MBP (with an external Vega64 GPU) on CO21.2, and life is good. (Except for wanting more memory and more speed, but that's going to have to wait until Apple releases the next round of AS Macs...)

I updated macOS & have noticed a definite slowing down of Capture One. I get the spinning beachball a lot & can hear  my Mac working hard - if that makes sense? (I don't actually know what the noises are, it sounds like they're coming from inside the Mac, so I guess it's the internals?). It seems to be C1 thats the only program having issues, everything else is running ok.

I'm having to restart or shut down my Mac every couple of days, which seems to help a bit. Prior to updating I didn't restart/shut down my Mac very often.

Not sure what I can do, beyond saving for & buying a new Mac. It's a 2017 one, and I was kinda hoping I would get longer out of it than four years.
