A new iPadOS 15 doesn't look good.

We were expecting more from iPadOS 15 since the OS itself is blocking the potential performance from M1 chip. However, after WWDC 2021 announcement, iPadOS 15 was nothing but another iOS and there were no info about pro app supports. The file management is still bad so dont expect anything new.
The reason why there aren't many pro apps on iPad is because of iPadOS and yet they blew out hopes. This is why we expected iPadOS with better features. They are still limiting the potential power from M1 and the system itself isn't great.
At this point, if you were expecting so much about iPadOS, forget it. I'm not sure how Capture One Pro for iPadOS will be like but iPadOS 15 isn't that different from 14. It's up to Capture One to make a software so I would wait till they make one on next year.

Who's we as in "we expected iPadOS with better features"?
That video got me laughing. All of his rants were of the "I want to replace my Macbook with an iPad" variety. Because its cheaper. Did anyone think Apple was going to give their customers a reason to NOT buy a Macbook? Really? Did he (and the "we expected" people) forget that Apple sells hardware and isn't going to do a lot to get you to not buy their hardware?
My guess is that any future Capture One for iPad will be like Lightroom for iPad, a feature limited version of their desktop software that can do basic editing given the limits of a device using a touch interface and software keyboard. If your editing is primarily "apply this preset" and tweak some sliders it might work well for you.

Marco, obviously you have not used Lightroom for iPad, all develop features that are in the desktop version are available in the iPad version. However the iPad version of Lightroom is very much part of the creative cloud infrastructure so the interface is based on Lightroom rather than Lightroom Classic. Also, in general, it works with smart previews download from the “cloud” rather than RAW originals.

I have used Lightroom for iPad and Lightroom CC for the desktop. Non within the last few years, though. At the time I tried them the CC versions did not match the features of what is now called Lightroom Classic.

The reason for concerning is because iPadOS is not able to use all M1's power like macOS. It's just another iPhone with a large screen. They dont even have killer apps like Final Cut Pro X. Since the file managing system isn't good. this is not a good news for Capture One Pro and it might be another LR CC. If you dont think so, why would they even bother to use M1 on iPad Pro?

so Benjamin you need Final Cut Pro running on the iPad and you have negative first hand experiences using an iPad Pro as a professional user right ?
why I ask, because I´m a professional photographer owning an older version of the iPad Pro and have used it for shootings and it does exactly what I expected, it is very responsive and fantastic to work with.

CSP/ That's not the point. A lot of people expected to have better solutions for M1 iPad Pro because iPadOS is limiting its power. And yet iPadOS 15 disappointed a lot of users and it becomes very clear that Apple is not gonna merge both iPadOS and macOS. Your personal experience does not reflect the entire opinion and I did not say iPadOS can not be used professionally. It's just about iPadOS's capability is still being limited such as Photoshop for iPad.
