Moving catalogs between external drives
Hi all,
I am having a few issues moving catalogs on Capture One 20.
The background is that my desktop hard drive corrupted and I am not using an external drive where my original catalog was recovered to.
I now want to move the catalog from that external drive to another external (Synology) drive.
I followed the directions in the following article and moved the catalog to my desired location:
https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003138037-How-to-move-a-Catalog-
However, while the catalog opens - I get the message that there are no images in the collection - no matter which folder I go to.
Did I need to move anything else. When I go to the original location of the catalog there were other folders in there which were:
Adjustments
Cache
Originals
Did I need to move these too?
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Hi. I had a similar problem when migrating a catalogue from LR. My catalogue comprises for each subject a main folder with sub-folders. My main folders were empty and only sub folders were populated. Capture One 20 cannot import an empty folder and seeing an empty main folder it fails to search deeper to find populated sub folders. My solution was to transfer just one image from a sub folder to the main folder, then C1 would accept the main folder and all sub folders. Having successfully imported the main and sub folders, I just returned the moved image back to the sub folder it came from. I found it counterintuitive that once imported, a folder can be emptied and all then functions correctly.

Just realised my profile didn't include my name. It does now: Tony B. Sorry for any confusion.
