I think if you want some help on that from your fellow users here, you will need to give us more information.

When you say that you are unable to upload the images, what do you mean? Are you trying to upload them

    • from a memory card,
    • from a folder on your computer
    • direct from the camera?

What happens when you try to do so?

And are you working in a session or a catalog? If a catalog, are you trying to import the images to be stored inside the catalog, or in their current location on disk, or in some other folder on your computer?

What camera? What version of Capture One (Pro, one of the branded ones such as  for Nikon, Express)?

And I am not sure what you mean when you say that whatever are uploaded are not ready for processing. In what way are they not ready? What indication is there of that? Do you see any error messages?

Thanks Ian for your message. I have been using C1 since 9 and i had never have any issue until yesterday when i upgraded to C1 21.

I am using external sd card reader to upload raw images which i have been for years but what is happening now is the uploading of raw images in C1 21 is very slow. I first tried with 40+ images but not all were downloaded in Ca 21 and whichever were moved to C1 folder they are not ready for any processing. The sliders are moving both directions but without any impact.

I have tried with less images like 8 or even with two but the same results. The sliders are not functioning. I tried to move image in Affinity using edit with option but it didnt even move to Affinity.

I am using same laptop, same sd card readers, same camera (Sony A7 RIII) and even same sd card but super disappointed. I had images to process quickly which luckily i did using Affinity however, i am disappointed with C1 for the very first time.

Any process for using C1 is not new for me as i have mentioned using software for very long time.

I am not sure if i am entitle for a refund based on the situation mentioned above.

    Looking desperately for solution.

Btw i am using Affinity without any issue.

Whether you seek a refund or a fix, you need to talk to Capture One:

Chances are that I do not understand what you want to do, your actions to get there, and what exactly happens instead. You "upload" files in C1, you "download" files in C1 and you "move" files to a C1 folder.

Trying to read between the lines, I wonder if you just want to transfer files from a memory card in a card reader to "disk" (hdd/sdd) inside your computer, and that the transfer process runs slower than it used to do? Or does upload/download/move indicate a more exotic workflow involving other external storage?

    Hi OddS

You beat me to it, I was also totally confused by uploading/downloading in the original post. My understanding is that you download unprocessed data from some external source into CO and you upload the “finished”product from CO into some external sink (hard drive, the web, local storage etc.).

    Thanks Keith, Odds, Dave,

I reset my laptop and the issue is resolved. Thanks for your messages though.
