Fuji manufacturer lens profile and Sharpness Falloff?
Hello
At the support page https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002582378-Applying-a-specific-lens-profile
I read this:
NOTE: The main difference between a manufacturer profile and a profile developed by Capture One for a certain lens is that we additionally correct for Sharpness Falloff. Thus, when the Manufacturer Profile is selected from the Profile drop-down menu, the Sharpness Falloff would be greyed out.
Now, I am using Fuji X lenses and when I select the manufacturer profile the Sharpness Falloff is not greyed out at all, and I am still able to move the slider uop and down. However, it seems that moving the slider up to a higher value does not do anything at all!
Using C1 lens profile and moving the Sharpness Falloffslider up does indeed improve sharpness a lot.
Is this a bug in C1? Should the Sharpness Falloffslider be greyed out when I select the manufacturer profil? As it is now it's a bit confusing because the slider is not greyed out, I can move the slider, but nothing happens...
Also related to this: is it possible to set C1 to use the manufacturer profile by default instead the C1 profile? With my Fuji wide angle lenses the C1 profile is cropping to much for my taste.
Thanks for the help :)

I'm intrigued by this because I hadn't noticed. Is it really that noticeable?

The OP seems to be right in that with manufacturer profile selected the sharpness falloff slider does not do anything that I can see, so looks like someone forgot to grey out that slider at some point.
You can create a lens profile preset with Manufacturer Profile selected and apply it either before or after import to any images.0
