I find the Delete key works the same as Ctrl+Delete
in that they both put selected images in the catalog Trash folder.
Are you not seeing your deleted images in the catalog Trash?

If you want images back from the Trash, select the Trash folder in the C1 Library tab,
select those images in the browser window and and left click drag them back to the All Images
    collection.

"Delete" by itself seems unreliable with multiple selected images, sometimes just not doing anything.
    Ctrl+Delete always works.

    Thanks for your Answer,
the deleted Images DO NOT appear in the Trash Folder!

They seem to be deleted from the import date Folder where i am editing in.
Found a workaround by Making a Smart Folder and Include all images from that Date.

Can you left click drag images from the browser to the Trash folder as another workaround?

I think, when you are inside a collection, DEL just removes it from that collection. Funny that it is also treated like that in the recent imports. That doesn't make too much sense.

You should still find the image in "all images". If you first copy it into another album and then delete it in the recent imports, is it still in the other album?

There's lots of threads about but I couldn't find a feature request so I went ahead and wrote one.
