CAPTURE ONE 22
Capture one 22 will be released on December 9 and it is now. Why is there no possibility to download the update 22 to 21 I have?

Same here (UK). I received the serial number via email but the link to download version 22 takes you to version 21. When installed it says it's a trial only?!?
From inside version 21, the update button says the software is up to date and there are no links on the website for version 22.

Announcing an update for a certain date does not necessarily mean that it will be available on that day at 0:00.
So please be patient and check over the day.

But sending an email giving you the code and the download link for version 22 does!
Edit. and it's 10am on a working day and I tend to sort this stuff out when I first start work in the morning before I starting shooting, processing images.

Also on the internet page the download link for version 22 is connected with the download of version 21. That should fit already...

Continuing with what you already have is a wise move under any circumstances.
The idea of installing a new release "as is" and immediately using it as a production system - any software, not just C1 - has always seemed to me a sign of allowing optimism to conquer experience. Great if or when it works out but not worth the aggravation if something does not work out as hoped.

I have just downloaded and installed version 22. I think the release time was set for midday European time according to the annoying countdown timer that has been on the Capture One web site Home Page for the last few weeks.

True. I tend to install alongside a previous version. I use sessions so it's easy enough to move back and forth if need be. I use LR for it's catalogue as I've found it to be less problematic than C1 in catalogue mode. It's mainly manual ordering of keywords that keeps me with C1 now so only upgrade every now and again now.

Light fall-off correction
Consider if your images need light fall-off correction within Lens Correction before stitching. This will ensure an even transition across skies and other similar areas.So you have to do MANUALLY something that Adobe does automatically since decades ????

Does Adobe create a pseudo RAW file or something with changes baked-in?

I would prepare files in C1 before exporting to PS or AutoPano Giga for stitching so it's no great issue carrying out some prep before hand. Time will tell if it's any better.
One thing I do like about C1 updates, is they do them in December when I normally arrange it so I don't have much to do that month so I have more time to muck around with these things. That and other general file house keeping for the new year!
Next week the chocolates and beer will be worked on instead :)
