Add/view text to photo?

I think that I'm running into C1's limitations as an asset management solution.

What's up is that I am trying to find a way to add and easily view a note for photos that are already in my catalog. 

When I put a photo onto my website I give it a different name than I use in my catalog. For example, instead of '05 18 Johnson Wedding - 018' I will call it 'Bouquet.'

Is there a way to add that information in an easily viewable way, without having to scroll through the metadata for each photo?

  I haven't tried this, but you might want to give it a try:

  Use one of the metadata fields you're not already using to store the name you wish to assign, such as IPTC Description. Then create a process recipe that would incorporate that field along with a serial number (example: the actual image file name).
