It depends on how each software package handles the manufacturer's lens profile data. I would expect different results.

In Preferences > General tab > Hardware acceleration, set it to Never for processing.

I sometimes store images inside a special purpose catalog.The main advantage is that if you need to move a catalog to another location including the original raw files, storing inside is the easies...

You could create a Project elsewhere and drag it into the group and see what happens.Also, you could verify your catalog for any inconsistencies.
