I don't think reinstalling will change anything, but why not, you can try that. Your license rights are linked to your account, so I don't think you'll lose anything in that respect.

High Sierra is not out yet. AFAIK, Phase One will first run extensive tests and either certify the current version as compatible or release an update. No need to rush.

You probably already have a file with that name in the same folder. What you see is macOS appending a number to the new file so that it won't overwrite the previous one.

Have you tried to deactivate your license in "License information"? I think it will let you select another one.

Maybe I'm missing something, but if you already imported your pictures, what would be the point of importing your LR catalog?
