You can just rename the file (actually a package) in the Finder, and the catalog name will change. With C1 closed, of course.

Keith, have you experimented with using small amounts of Clarity/Structure to see whether that can help with the balance? (especially given that clarity can now be used locally)

But, hopefully, Phase One will make some efforts to improve the C1 SQLite database.Fully agreed. This is the main area that C1 falls down for me in terms of looking for a one-product-solution.

While Drew's is obviously the official word - I'm using C1 v8 in OS X 10.10 PB3 now without any problems whatsoever.

Also, near as I can tell, it's not actually possible to float the Local Adjustment tools. You can float the layers window, but not the tools.
