Folder update is shown by an arrow in the folder icon. As to importing, DNGs are fine for me. I don't leave files in NEF so can't comment.peter

Not sure about your problem, but you certainly can move files in the finder on the mac and then use reset paths.Your program sounds like a confused catalogue. peter
