how to apply settings to selected images before processing

I am wanting to "apply settings to selected images" before processing (as is easily done with C1pro) - is it possible?pete

why are images slow to load in capture one 4?

I'm new to Capture One 4 - I have loaded images, but when I click on one to view it takes ages to come up (loading...) ?? It may be my system, but I thought it worth asking, just in case..thanks
