    You can automatically backup when importing images. In the import screen click the little inverted triangle to the right of "Locations" and select Backup.

    Oops, the "Load Metadata" selection under the File menu in Capture One 7 seems to work for me in bringing in the information. I don't remember having to do that with version 6.
