Those are the preview files and can safely be deleted. If you use CO again to edit the files they will be automatically recreated. I would keep the .cos files as those hold your settings in case yo...

I'm not sure if this is true for the non pro version, but in the pro you can go to the Process Recipe, Advanced tab, and set the Root Folder to "Image Folder." You can also name the subfolder.
