This seems to be a bug that started with version 22.Try clicking on any other folder in the Catalog (or Session) and the images will appear in the Browser, then you can go back to the one you want...

To begin with, just to cover the basics first, have you selected two or more RAW image files? It doesn't work with jpeg files.
