Also I am using the regular iPhone 12, not the pro, so I don't have access to Apple Raw as it is only available on Apple pro's

Nope, not using ProRaw etc. Shouldn't I be able to import iPhone pics directly into C21?

iphone 12 issues, they can be imported but not edited, unless put through lightroom first
I am using a Mac running Big Sur, 11.2.3 and Capture 21. I have an iphone 12. I cannot load iphone pics directly into C21 but I can export them out of the photos app into C21, but then I can't edit...
