Starting with Capture One 16.7.3, you can control how layers are handled when copying them to images that already have layers with the same name. Choose Skip to keep original layers, Add as duplicates to keep both, or Replace duplicate layers to overwrite existing layers with the new ones.
Previously, copied layers were stacked on top of the existing layers in the image without overwriting or deleting the existing layers with the same name. This often resulted in redundant duplicates that required tedious manual deletion.
You can also select Remember my choice in the Adjustment clipboard menu to save your preference for future use.
This also allows updating batches of layers on images.
Add as duplicates and Replace duplicate layers copy the entire layer, including all adjustments and masks. Copying adjustments without the mask isn’t supported at this time.
