Use Even Skin on the body
Body Skin Retouching applies Even Skin adjustments to detected body skin areas. The feature helps smooth variations in skin appearance while preserving highlights and important texture details.
The effect is similar to Even Skin adjustments previously available for facial retouching.
Adjust the Texture slider
The Texture slider controls how much skin texture is retained during retouching.
- Higher texture values retain more natural skin detail.
- Lower texture values create a smoother appearance.
Adjust the slider carefully to maintain a realistic result while achieving the desired level of skin smoothing.
Retouch multiple people
Body Skin Retouching works on a per-person basis. When multiple people are detected in an image, adjustments are stored and applied individually for each person.
This allows different retouching settings to be used where needed.
Face detection requirements
Although the adjustment affects body skin, a visible face is required. Capture One identifies people through face detection and stores retouching adjustments for each detected person.
If a face cannot be detected, Body Skin Retouching may not be available for that subject.
Tips for natural-looking results
For the most realistic results:
- Use moderate adjustment values.
- Retain sufficient texture to preserve skin detail.
- Review the image at different zoom levels.
- Apply different adjustments to each person when necessary.
