Available in Capture One 16.9 and later.
Recolor using the redesigned Color Wheel
The redesigned Color Wheel provides a visual representation of color transformations. After selecting a color range, drag the resulting color to a new position on the Color Wheel to recolor part of an image.
The wheel displays the original and resulting color relationship directly, making recoloring workflows easier to understand and control.
The Color Wheel is available in different sizes and can be used for both corrective and creative color adjustments.
Use Uniformity controls
Uniformity helps make tones within a selected color range more consistent.
Previously available only in the Skin Tone tool, Uniformity controls can now be applied to any selected color in the Advanced Color Editor.
Uniformity can help:
- Reduce unwanted color variations
- Create more consistent product colors
- Harmonize color transitions
- Simplify color grading workflows
Select a color range and adjust the Uniformity controls to bring tones closer together while preserving the overall appearance of the image.
Match colors using the Target Picker
Use the Target Picker to match a selected color to a reference color.
The reference color can be selected from:
- The current image
- Another image displayed in the Viewer
After selecting the target color, Capture One aligns the selected color range with the reference color, making it easier to maintain color consistency across multiple images.
Enter RGB and HSL target values
When precise color matching is required, RGB and HSL values can be entered directly.
This is useful when working with:
- Brand colors
- Product photography
- E-commerce workflows
- Color reference specifications
Direct value entry allows colors to be matched to exact numerical targets instead of relying solely on visual adjustments.
Requirements and limitations
- A color range must be selected before using Uniformity, the Color Wheel, the Target Picker, or RGB/HSL target values.
- The Target Picker requires a reference color to be selected.
- RGB and HSL target values can be entered directly for precise color matching.
Additional information
These enhancements build on the existing Advanced Color Editor workflow and can be combined with Layers and local adjustments.
