Fujifilm Just updated its Firmware for GFX cameras. I don't see mention of classic neg film simulation. Will it be supported?

Same as Grant, I am wondering when classic neg will be added for GFX. Frustrating shooting in it and not being able to edit with it

Couldn’t agree more! Would love (and expect) to see this supported on a short notice

I'm disappointed more camera models aren't supported.

    Hi,

Please, note that the CLASSIC Neg. simulation is now available for GFX cameras in Capture One 13.1.2.

Feel free to download this latest version of the software from your account on captureone.com

Would love to see at least Provia simulation support for X-Pro1 (and other X-Trans 1 Fuji cameras) to match the RAWs with the camera base JPEG colors and start editing from that.
Film standard curve can deviate quite a lot from what seen in the viewfinder.

Is there a reason why this is only applicable to a specific model of the X100F series of cameras instead of the wider range of the series?

A better support for Fuji Film simulations is one of the key reason why I decided to purchase the license for Capture One.

I have an XT3 camera and I cannot get the film simulation effects to work after

selecting any of the film simulations from the "Curve" base charactertics?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the comment.

I have tested this out with the file from the camera Fujifilm X-T3 and the list of Fujifilm Film Simulations appears, so it should work fine.

However, please make sure that you have an updated firmware on your camera.

    Thanks Lily,
The list appears but when I click on it you see
that it the wheel trying briefly tries to change but nothing happens. When you scroll through the list none of the film simulations change. I just updated my camera when I ran into this issue so I will try it again. Al

Update 16Oct:  Just tried again after updating yesterday the cameras latest firmware and there still
are no changes.  The drop down box shows the fujifilm simulations.  I can scroll through the list but nothing on the screen appears changed other than you can briefly seeing it trying to process a change briefly but iy  fails..  It's almost as if the colour editor has been locked on the film simulations..

Please note my above comments have been tested on the latest camera firmware installed yesterday and the card was freshly reformatted.  The images importorted were then tested on capture one,s base characteristic.

Again, Lily thanks for your input.  Can you

open a reported ticket on the “Fuj...only” licensing to report this issue?  So

they identify and resolve this issue. I’m on the Mac version

and my computer was purchased within the last two years.   Thanks, Al

    Hi,

Thank you for all the details provided.

I have also checked that request and the files you provided.

Please, note that Fujifilm Film Simulations can't be applied to converted DNG files. Fujifilm Film Simulations can only work with RAF files.

    Hi,

Why Film Simulation is not supported in Fujifilm XF10 RAF files? That's fairly new camera, released in mid 2018. Popular among street photographers. I tested some other raw development tools (On1, Silkypix) and they both supported XF10 film simulations.

I'm considering purchasing Capture One 20 (don't like Lightroom subscription model) but not being able to use Film Simulations is a big disadvantage for me (of course camera supports the film styles internally).

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Michal,

    Thank you for your comment.

That request to have Fujifilm Film Simulations added for the RAW files from Fujifilm XF10 will be sent to the product management and development team.

    Hi Lily,

RAF files from my GFX 50R do not have the Classic Neg and Eterna curve profiles as reported in the table in OP. I'm running Capture One 20 Fujifilm Build 13.1.1.24 and GFX 50R firmware 2.00.

    Thanks for the feedback,

    Clément

    Hi Clément,

    Thank you for your comment.

The Classic Neg and Eterna curve profiles for GFX 50R appeared starting from Capture One 20 (13.1.2). Please see the release notes here.

You can download the latest version of Capture One from your account.

No X-A7... such an embarrassingly short list of supported devices, this is why majority of people stick with Lightroom myself included

    Hi

Fresh install of capture one 20 for Fuji on a new MacBook Pro M1

There are no film simulations at all - tried various models and still only shadow etc options.

Is the M1 Mac supported for this setup yet?

    Please advise

    Anyone can help???

    Hi Gary,

The M1-based computers are not yet supported by Capture One.

Please, make sure that the image file comes from the camera that is supported for Fujifilm Film Simulations in Capture One.

It would be helpful if you send a screenshot of what is shown in the Base Characteristics tool when you work with the file from the Fujiiflm camera.

Hi Lily - I was using Capture one on an intel based Mac just before upgrading, using a Fujifilm x-t30 and it was working fine. The simulations option were only showing an x-t20 on that Mac also and it worked without any issues. Any idea when it’s going to be compatible? It’s been months since the new macs were released!

    Hi Gary,

The support for M1 is planned to be provided in the next versions of Capture One 21.

I literally bought capture one 20 3 months ago. So I now have to upgrade again to 21 just to get it to work with a new Mac??? That’s not fair

It’s only the profile film simulations that aren’t working

    Hi,

Any word on Film Simulation support for  Fujifilm XF10 RAF files yet. I had specifically purchased Capture 1 20 for this purpose.

    Thanks

    Anthony

Still not working on M1 Mac suing 20 or 21 trial - Camera is in list of supported models and film simulations not available - can choose camera but curve shows standard native presets.

When is this going to be sorted!!!! I have been advised to upgrade and the upgrade hasn't even got the thing right yet.
