Update/License.

I have C1 22 Pro on a one off/perpetual license.

There were two reinstall (?) activations available.

I used one on a new Windows 11 PC a couple of months ago.

I now wish to update to the latest 22 version and it seems I have to use the remaining activation to update?

Is this correct as I may want to transfer to another PC in the future!

Advice Please.

    Thank you for the lead.

    After a lot of reading I still don't know whether if I update to Capture 1 22 Pro Perpetual 14/3....from Capture 1 22 Pro Perpetual 14/2...I have to use my one remaining activation code.

    Therefore I would have to purchase another new version (23?) if I have to reinstall C1 again in future. ( On to a new/different PC).

    There is an update for my C1......14/3

    When I go to 'Install update' it infers that I have to remove and download the whole programme. 

    This would require me using my one remaining 'Activation' code to reactivate the download.

    I would not then be able to update or move to another PC in the future.

    Sorry to be so stupid but it seems to go with C1 in some circumstances.

    Is there? For Capture One 22? Or are you mixing in a Capture One 21 installation here as well?

    Sorry...again!......

    The actual update is 15/3.....not 14/3!

    I upgraded from 21 to 22........... 21 was fully uninstalled.

    Really? In my end your screen dump says you have 15.2.1 installed and that 15.3.0 is available, the latter is a clickable link.

    If Capture One's description https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012210857-How-do-I-update-Capture-One- does not work for you, I suggest you file a request to the support team.

    C1 22 now updated to 15/3....15.3.0

    Instead of clicking an update button as in all the other programmes I have used since the computer was invented....... Capture One has a unique, complicated and tedious way of doing the same thing.

    Still, with your help my final update, assuming no more for this version, has been achieved.

    Again, Thanks...... now to see if I have any activation options left!

    A PC should not consume more than one activation. I use Capture One on two PCs, a stationary computer and a laptop, thus I have two active installations (activations). I can install Capture One on a third PCs, but to use it  I would have to deactivate Capture One on of the current two and then activate on the third computer.

    An unused activation for a main version (currently 15) will not work for the the next main version, you will need to pay for a new license. You will likely receive a reduced price offer from Capture One near the release date, typically some time October-December.

    I have one activation (C1 21 Nikon) on a laptop (But it was a Trial version since uninstalled) and one activation (C1 22) on my main Desktop PC.

    So could I reinstall C1 21 on the laptop and activate it?

    C21 should work with your C22 license code. I presume you ask because you know the laptop does not meet C22 requirements.

    Laptop is up to Windows 11 spec as recently purchased....only 8GB memory but speed isn't a problem.

    However it would only be used for on the road storage and minor editing if required so 21 with it's own license code is perfectly OK.

    It would then leave my desktop with 22 and one activation in reserve.

    Will reinstall 21 on the laptop and see the outcome.

    I still suspect you do not understand Capture One licenses and/or activations.
