Well, when you open the .dmg it states : "Drag to install". Couldn't be simpler, could it?Or is it /too/ simple and makes people wonder?

Large previews in the import dialog, I don't think so. Ability to check or uncheck pictures, yes.

As a starting point, set your preview size to 1920, then File > Regenerate Previews. See if it changes anything.

IIRC some 5K iMacs are too underpowered in terms of GPU to run Capture One smoothly. What's your GPU?
