The catalog functionality needs to be fixed so it can be used reliably in a production system. Integration with external editors also needs to be added.It needs to be made reliable too ๐

Why would you want to move the files to the catalog ? Keeping them referenced is more flexible and will also allow Lightroom to keep access to them.
