I had many issues connecting a 5d to capture on macs with apple silicon. The only fix I found was to use single port usb-c adapter. Not sure if that will help, but recommend trying.

Restart didn't help, neither did a fresh install of capture or deleting preferences in terminal. Reported as a bug, hopefully will be fixed soon
