For a guide on how to connect to Capture One mobile see here – the steps are almost identical for both iPhone and iPad.
Wireless tethering with supported FUJIFILM cameras allows you to transmit images over a wireless network, or even via a network cable, with the same functionality as USB tethering - meaning less cables on set and more freedom when shooting.
Capture One (from 16.2 onwards) allows you to shoot wirelessly with the following Fujifilm cameras:
In addition to working wirelessly, tethering also works via network cable using the Fujifilm FT-HX grip with a compatible camera.
The steps below will show you how to connect your camera wirelessly to Capture One Pro.
For more in-depth explanation of the menu options, please see the FUJIFILM website.
FUJIFILM X-T5 / X-S20
Before getting started, ensure that your workstation is connected to the network that you will eventually connect your camera to.
Both devices MUST be connected to the same network.
1. Press Menu/OK button on the back of the camera,
2. Navigate down to the NETWORK/USB SETTING option, which is found beneath the traditional spanner icon
3. Press right on the directional controls and navigate to NETWORK SETTING
If this setting is greyed out - select RESET WIRELESS SETTING
4. Navigate the menu as follows:
ACCESS POINT SETTING > MANUAL SETUP > SELECT FROM NETWORK LIST
5. Choose your desired Wi-Fi network and connect.
Use a dedicated router and network for the best performance – avoid using public or busy Wi-Fi connections.
6. Navigate back to the Network/USB setting menu
7. Go down to CONNECTION MODE
8. Select WIRELESS TETHER SHOOTING FIXED - it is not possible to save to both card and your workstation
9. Go back to Capture One and navigate to the Camera tool, found in the Tether tab
10. Select the X-T5 from the camera dropdown menu:
After a few seconds, you will be able to transmit your images wirelessly to Capture One. Please bear in mind the speed of your internet connection and the size of the files you are transmitting – a slow internet connection combined with large RAW files will result in sub-par performance.
FUJIFILM X-H2/S
1. Press Menu/OK button on the back of the camera,
2. Navigate down to the NETWORK/USB SETTING option, which is found beneath the traditional spanner icon
3. Press right on the directional buttons and select CREATE/EDIT CONNECTION SETTING - here you'll be able to add your desired Wi-Fi network and connection method
4. Select the following options in the menu:
CREATE USING WIZARD > TETHER SHOOTING > CREATE NEW > PRESS MENU/OK > WIRELESS LAN > CREATE NEW
5. From the WIRELESS LAN menu, select ACCESS POINT SETTING
6. MANUAL SETUP > SELECT FROM NETWORK LIST
7. After you've chosen and connected to your desired Wi-Fi network (the same one that your workstation is connected to) - go back to Capture One and navigate to the Camera tool, found in the Tether tab
8. Select the camera from the dropdown menu which says "Select camera..." and then select your X-H2
If this option is not shown, ensure your camera and workstation are connected to the same network and that your camera has not gone into sleep mode or turned off - fire a few frames to ensure that the camera is awake and you should eventually see the camera appear.
