DJI drones typically embed a proprietary file within the DNG that applies corrections for both color and luminance which is likely done to compensate for sensor and lens characteristics. At this time, Capture One does not support reading this embedded correction data directly from the DNG file. As a result, images may exhibit issues commonly associated with uncorrected optics and sensor output, such as color inaccuracies or light falloff.
Some workarounds can still be applied — please check this article for more details: DJI Drone DNG Color & Lens correction in Capture One
This is a known limitation, but there are currently no active plans to implement support for this correction data. While this may change in the future, it is not something we are presently working on.
That said, Capture One does read DNG files from drones and does not block them based on metadata such as manufacturer or model, e.g. Hasselblad-branded DJI drones. On the contrary, we actively maintain support by adding new drone models to our supported camera list when they are released. We believe we support the majority of DJI drones currently on the market. However, if you encounter a model that clearly isn't supported, please let us know.
