If you no longer want to use Capture One, you can permanently delete your account and all personal data associated with it. This article explains how to delete your profile from both the Capture One website and the mobile app, and outlines what happens to your data after deletion.

Compatibility
This feature is available on:
- The Capture One website through account settings
- The Capture One mobile app on iOS (iPad and iPhone)
How do I delete my Capture One account?
You can request full and permanent deletion of your account using the Delete Account feature in your Capture One account settings or in the mobile app.
Note:
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- You cannot delete your account if you have an active subscription.
- Deletion removes all active licenses linked to your account.
- Services like Capture One Live, certifications, Cloud Settings, and Cloud File Transfer will no longer be available.
- Be sure to download any certifications or documents before proceeding.
Delete your account from the website
- Go to your account page.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Delete My Account.
- In the confirmation window, click Confirm.
- In the second window, click I'm sure, delete my account to finalize.
Delete your account from the mobile app
- Open the app on your iPhone or iPad and go to Settings > General.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Confirm in the pop-up window by tapping Delete.
- A final screen confirms that your request has been received.
What happens to my data?
- Some data (e.g., invoices or purchase records) may be retained temporarily for legal or tax purposes.
- To comply with GDPR, Capture One retains a minimal internal record of the deletion request for a limited time. This will also be deleted after the required retention period.

Can’t find the button or prefer to do it manually?
You can request deletion by email:
- Send your request to gdpr@captureone.zendesk.com.
- You must use the email address associated with the Capture One account you want to delete.
Responses are typically sent within 14 days. Full deletion is processed within 30 days.
