Social Sign Up

Social Sign Up allows you to create a Capture One profile using your Apple, Google, or Microsoft credentials. This simplifies the registration process, integrates seamlessly with your existing accounts, and is supported for both desktop and mobile, including Capture One mobile and Certification programs. Multi-Access User Management is also compatible with social logins, provided the email matches the one given to the Capture One Account Admin. Multiple social accounts can be linked to a single Capture One profile, providing flexibility.

Social sign-in is available from Capture One 16.5.2 and Capture One mobile 2.6.5. Earlier versions require traditional login credentials. If you're on older version, you can invoke the forget password flow and sign in with your local credentials (email and password).

Setting Up a Capture One Profile with Social Sign Up

1. Go to https://captureone.com and click the Account icon.
   
2. Select Continue with Apple, Google, or Microsoft.
   
3. Log in with your social account credentials.
4. Your social account is now linked to a new Capture One profile, which is automatically created.

Traditional Sign Up

Traditional sign-up involves creating a Capture One profile with an email address and password. This method provides more direct control over your account credentials and profile settings.

Setting Up a Capture One Profile with Traditional Sign-Up

1. Go to https://captureone.com and click the Account icon.
   
2. Click Sign Up.
   
3. Enter your email address and click Send Verification Code.
   
4. Check your inbox for a verification code, then enter it into the required field and click Verify.
   
5. Create a password and agree to the privacy policy by checking the box.
6. Click Create Account to finalize your profile setup.

Managing Your Account

Regardless of whether you sign up via social login or traditional methods, Capture One provides options to manage your account effectively. These options are accessible through the Edit Profile section.

Linking and Unlinking Social Accounts

You can link or disconnect additional social login providers (Apple, Google, or Microsoft) to your Capture One profile as needed.

Email and Password Changes

If you signed in with local credentials (email and password), you can change the email and password directly through the Edit Profile section.

If you signed in using a social account, any updates to these details must be managed through the respective social ID provider’s platform (Apple, Google, or Microsoft). Alternatively, you can unlink the social account and make the changes directly through the Edit Profile section.

Forgotten Passwords

If you forget the password for a linked social account, you must reset it through the respective provider’s (Apple, Google, or Microsoft) password recovery process.

If you use a local account (email and password), you can reset your Capture One password using the Forgot Password feature during log in. A reset link will be sent to the registered email, allowing you to set a new password.
