Changing Size and Hardness parameters of the brush

    Hi Liliia,

I have a question about the brush.

Is there any way to change the look of the pointer? I find it really uncomfortable to use when you make it smaller and it passes from the circle that shows you the actual size to that arbitrary plus symbol with the lines at the four sides. It would be much better if no matter the size you would get the correspondent circle like in photoshop.

    thanks for your help

    Hi Luca,

Currently, when you make a brush very small, it transforms from a circle into a plus.

Thank you for the suggestion provided, it was forwarded to the Product Management team.

Hello Lily, just a question. I did not understand well... is there a way to change the size of the brush without using the sliders? Thank you!!!

    [     and      ]    (usually).

Also take a look in the Keyboard Shortcut editor for possible further options.

    Hi Luis,

    Thank you for the comment.

As SFA mentioned above, you can use the keyboard shortcuts [   and    ] to decrease and increase the brush size respectively.

Also, you can assign other shortcuts to these functions by going to the main menu Edit -> Edit Keyboard Shortcuts. Create a copy of the default shortcut set first as described here, then select your custom keyboard shortcut set and type "brush size" to edit the corresponding keyboard shortcuts per your choice.

    Hi Lily,

I'm writing you because i don't feel at ease to be sharp when masking using brush. The problem is the size of the pointer circle does not reflect the effective size of drawn mask.
If you set hardness to 100% and you just make one click/pressure on the brush tool you will see it will not covers all the pointer circle. I don't know why it works like this and I'm thinking it's just a bug.

    I'm using Capture One 20 Sony 13.1.1.24

    Thank you !

    Germain Maurice,

If set at full hardness, full opacity and full flow and viewed at 100% to make things easier to see, your regular Draw mask brush does not produce a mask spot that is the same size as the cursor circle display?

    I'm surprised.

Mine does match the size. What can be different in our settings?

    Hi SFA,

Yes, all of brush settings are set to 100% and viewed at 100%. The mask spot still not is the same size the cursor circle.

OK. In that case you are seeing something different to me.

Are you using a Wacom or something similar? (I am not.)
