We often hear from passionate photographers and creators in the Linux community who want to see Capture One available on their platform of choice. Your enthusiasm doesn’t go unnoticed—and we deeply appreciate the interest.
That said, we want to be transparent: we currently have no plans to develop Capture One for Linux.
The decision is not based on any disregard for Linux or its users. Rather, it’s rooted in practical and technical realities:

Building from the ground up: Unlike macOS and iOS, where we can reuse large parts of our codebase, a Linux version of Capture One would require building the application almost entirely from scratch. That’s a significant investment in time, engineering, and quality assurance.

Focus: Like all software companies, we must prioritize where we place our resources. Right now, we are focused on improving and expanding the platforms where Capture One already exists—macOS, Windows, and iOS.

Maintaining a high standard: Our goal is to deliver a professional-grade experience. The vast majority of photography and creative professionals use Macs, and Windows to a lesser extent, so we focus our efforts and energy on meeting the highest standards on those platforms.
We’ll continue listening to our community, and while Linux isn’t on our roadmap at this time, we’re keeping an open mind for the future.

I need a Linux version ... more specifically what runs on Debian based MX. I use that.
I don’t know who has analyzed the IT market, but he has certainly ignored Europe and Asia. Keep in mind that the Android system is also Linux based. There are 3 billion people in Asia and Europe ... isn't this a market?
There are more and more free photo and publishing editors for Linux (https://itsfoss.com/raw-image-tools-linux/) - however, they do not provide stable support for professional work.
And here's the market - I think.
Linux is much faster and more stable than Windows. Unfortunately, the latter has been distributed in Europe. In America, Macintosh iOS and Linux also work on the Unix system. Both are stable and fast. Unfortunately, Windows is unstable and with more problems than benefits ... in my opinion.
In summary, I would support it if it worked on CaptureOne Linux.

I have been a sports photographer for 3 years. I have been using Linux since 2009. I shoot in Raw and convert with Raw Therapee. I would have no problem spending for a compatible version of Capture One on Linux. I mean come on, Neat Image has a stand alone version for linux. I bought that. It works very nice. Currently Raw Therapee and Gimp are my go to and I have made it work fine for the last three years. Would not have a problem if there was another option.
I would love to migrate my last remaining non-linux machine to Linux. Currently it is only running windows for Capture One Sony.
Please develop Capture One pro to support linux. I am waiting on the ability to 100% rely on linux workflow; however, Capture One requires that I continue to use Windows. Thank you

I would buy this because it was made for Linux. I currently use Affinity Photo, but that is only for Windows and MacOS. I literally created an account just to comment that I really, really want something like this for linux.

Jk but no really. Just had to do a clean install because windows got corrupted and I'm highly suspicious Adobe was the the culprit. I've never had issues like this with Linux. I'm begging. Linux + Capture One is my dream combo

The more professional software is made available for Linux, the more you’ll see people switch over. It’s a far more robust ecosystem of operating systems, most servers world wide run a variant of Linux because of this. Being the first professional raw editing software to market with support for just Debian based distros could be a huge advantage.
As with many others here I would love to see native support for Debian Linux as its the most easily adopted group of linux distros for the average user with an intuitive GUI. As others have mentioned it would be a “relatively” easy port from A Unix compliant OS (Mac OS) to Linux. Having it run in an emulator is not acceptable as a solution for anyone using it for business, as you can run into a litany of issues from support to stability.

I really wish I could use it in Linux. Hell, I'd even go to Frederiksberg and help you port it myself; I'm a software developer who has worked in both OSes. A bit south of you, Bitwig did a fine job with a good Linux version of their also very nice and sophisticated software. I'm sure you guys could do the same.
Using Capture One since 5 Years. All my PCs are running Linux (Manjaro) except a laptop is still on Windows only(!) because of Capture One. Capture One is the last thing tying me to Windows.
This thread is now quite long and all users have the same desire. Please dear support team - show us a reaction.

Is anybody of your team reading this thread at all? The thread is 2 years old and still quite active, and your customers still don't have an answer to the question. Lily's information updated 6 months ago is not helpful to me, because it gives no hint whatsoever if a Linux version is planned.
In the light of the present discussion on Apple's plans to scan their users' iPhones whenever photo content is uploaded to iCloud, I have lost any trust in this company and will switch to Linux for privacy reasons, and will look for an alternative to CaptureOne if you don't offer a Linux version. It's a great pity.
As another poster has written: As there is already a macOS (Unix-based) version of CaptureOne, I can't imagine it will be too difficult to create a Linux version as well.

Capture One is the last application keeping me on Windows right now. I love Capture One but would love it more as a native app for linux.

The one feature that would sell me on an upgrade from version 12 would be a Linux release.

I switched to linux also, with all machines.
now i use rawtherapee. if capture one is availible for linux i will buy it again.
since it supports raw panorama i never used lightroom.
i hope there will be a version for linux in the future.
