Why is it not possible to import the files I deleted from the Catalog before?
ANSWER
When you delete an image from the Catalog, but not from the disk, it goes to the Catalog Trash. Therefore, if you want to re-import that image with the Exclude Duplicates option, Capture One will skip it during the import.
Instead, you can go to the Trash folder in the Library and drag the image into a different folder in the Catalog.

I deleted all the pictures imported into the catalogue in a single import action (moved them to trash) then emptied catalogue trash, then tried to re-import them. around 1/4 of them were rejected as being duplicates? these "duplicates" were spread (in clumps) through the pictures (whether sorted by name or date)
It is not possible to drag a picture from trash to a selected folder. This was a problem with my late 2022 edition and still is with the current edition of C1 downloaded today (08.11.2024). Is there a fix for this?
@... I just tested this with Capture One 16.5.1 and macOS 15.1, and I was able to drag and drop an image from the Trash to a folder. Please consider contacting our support team by clicking the Request Support button in the header.
