Compatibility
This feature is available for Capture One subscription plans purchased directly from the Capture One web store.
Switching is supported from monthly to annual plans only. Switching from an annual plan to a monthly plan is not available.
Available plan switches
The available options depend on your current subscription. You will only see plans that are eligible for your plan.

How to switch your subscription plan
You can switch your subscription either from your user profile on the Capture One website or directly from within Capture One.
Switching from your user profile
- Log in to your Capture One user profile.

Go to Plans & Services Management.
- Find your current plan, or the plan you want to switch from.
- Click Upgrade your plan.
- Select the plan you want to switch to.
- Complete your purchase.
Switching from within Capture One
- Click My Capture One in the top‑right corner.
- Select Upgrade Plan.
- You will be taken to your user profile page on the Capture One website, where you can complete the upgrade steps.
What happens when you switch
- Your subscription is updated without cancellation.
- Your license key remains unchanged.
- Your new billing cycle follows the selected annual plan.
- Your access continues without interruption.
FAQ
Can I switch from an annual plan back to a monthly plan?
No. Switching is only supported from monthly to annual plans.
Do I need to cancel my current subscription first?
No. Unlike the previous process, switching plans no longer requires cancellation and repurchase.
Will I lose access to Capture One during the switch?
No. Your access continues without interruption.
Does my license key change?
No. Your existing license key remains the same.
Can I switch plans if I purchased through Apple?
This feature applies to subscriptions purchased directly from the Capture One web store. Subscriptions managed by Apple must be changed through Apple’s subscription settings.
Additional information
If you switch to All in One or Capture One Studio, your workspace and available features will update according to the new plan. You need to restart Capture One to see the updated feature set and workspace.

Troubleshooting
I do not see an option to switch my plan
This can happen if:
- Your plan does not support switching.
- You are already on an annual plan with no higher annual option.
- Your subscription was purchased through a third‑party provider.
If the issue persists, contact Capture One Support.
