Capture One aims to keep feature parity between macOS and Windows, but a small number of features may occasionally be available only on macOS. These cases are limited, and the goal is to keep both platforms aligned wherever possible.
macOS-only features
There are currently very few features that are exclusive to macOS. The most notable examples include:
- Live for Studio – this app works together with the Capture One mobile on iPad over your local Wi-Fi network. It lets clients view, tag, and rate tethered captures in real-time with zero internet reliance.
- AppleScript support – workflow automation using AppleScript is supported only on macOS
These differences are largely driven by operating system capabilities rather than intentional product limitations. Capture One continues working towards maintaining consistency between macOS and Windows, but some features may temporarily be available on one platform before the other.
Notes
- Both macOS and Windows versions include the full core toolset and editing functionality.
- Platform differences may change over time as features are updated or expanded.
