Create Sub-folder using date in Image Import
I organise my photo collection in a hierarchy that ends with a sub-directory that is the date the pictures were taken. That is if I import pictures from a memory card in the card reader and 20 pictures on that card were taken on the 1st of June and 20 on the 2nd of June the June 1st pictures go in a sub-directory 2014-06-01 and the 2nd June pictures in a sub-directory 2014-06-02. Lightroom can be set to do this automatically using the capture date in the image meta-data but I cannot find a way to do this in the Capture One Import Images dialog. "Import to" gives the option to create a sub-folder using date but creates a sub-folder with date (and time) of import into Capture One, this is not what I want. Am I missing something?

Good day ,
i am in the same situation here.
Can anyone be so kind and let us know if we are missing something or if there is a work around to make this work during the import?0 -
Unfortunatetly, this is a feature sorely missing in CO7. 0 -
Thank you Paul
i was under the impresion that is user Error ... again 😊0 -
I'd like to add my five pennorth to this thread. Sessions and catalogs are great if you're shooting sessions only but if you're shooting a number of things over a number of days and can't get to offload your shots for a while it can become a real nightmare splitting the different jobs into sub catalogs. Lightroom handles this really well, over the years I've come to rely heavily on it. It's a powerful organising tool, I'd really like to see it come to Capture One. 0 -
I have the same problem. Actually I solved the problem with a script. Look here: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=16750. I use the script on mac to move the files from the backup directory to my first backup hdd. 0 -
Error 404. That's the second time I get that when clicking links to threads. I'm a Windows user, anyway, so I guess it matters little in this case that I can't pull up the thread.
Anyway, I'm in the very same situation. Importing and managing files as it is now it's vexing and time-consuming. LR also has import presets, which are sorely missing in C1P.0 -

There seem to have been some changes to the forum's configuration in the past 2 days or so - it seemed to be entirely off line for a day or more.
Many links, even to the forum from the main web site, are broken. If things are left as they now are old links may need some "interpretation" to be able to follow them.
The main problem seems to be that the old links have the format
En/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=16750
but you need to remove the "En/" section to make them work in the current Forum incarnation. (Note that what you see on screen here misses the first part of the URL that includes the rest of the Internet address. Hover your cursor over the links to see the full address for a clearer idea of what is going on ... maybe! Or quote this post as if about to reply and you will see the full address.)
So
viewtopic.php?f=46&t=16750
should work for the problem link a couple of posts back in this thread.
HTH.

I would also like very much to see more robust folder creation during import. Maybe 8.2 or so? 0
