Probably the screen resolution on your Windows 10 computer is not sufficient. Drag the color editor into the screen, so its floating, and then try open it again.

Could '50' be the amount of folders in your file structure?

Regarding the second point, you might need to show hidden items. In Windows Explorer, tab view, just mark the hidden items in the show/hide block.
