Please set the Hardware Acceleration in Preferences, General tab to Never for Processing, restart Capture One and try again.

Making a transparent background is done with other software then Capture One, and typically done *after* Capture One in the photographer's workflow.

It could be related to the 16:9 ratio of your images. Maybe you can contact support (from Help menu) and send them your image and a screenshot?
