If this error message appears, it means that you do not have permission to write to the license file directory. To change that, follow the steps below depending on your operating system.
Launch the .exe file with the administrative privileges. Right-click directly on the CaptureOne.exe file and select Run as administrator from the context menu.
If you are unable to run the application as an administrator, please contact your system administrator for assistance.
Make sure that after you unpack the .dmg file, the Capture One application is moved to the Applications folder. Right-click on the CaptureOne application icon and select Get Info. Under the Sharing & Permissions section, make sure that you have Read & Write permissions under the Privilege column in the table of users.
We found that even in Windows, the method mentioned for Mac OS works the same. We just changed the permission to the Kofax folder to RW to get rid of the error.
