I have tried to activate Capture One with a License code on my new computer and I get the error stating "Activation Limit Exceeded". What does that mean?
This error message appears when the number of available activations matches the limit of your license.
The number of available activations depends on the type of license you have
Capture One Pro perpetual license
Capture One 9 and later versions: 3 concurrent activations
Capture One version 6, 7, and 8: 2 concurrent activations.
Perpetual Capture One for Fujifilm / (for Sony) / for Nikon perpetual License
All versions: 2 concurrent activations.
Capture One Pro 20 - 3 concurrent activations
Capture 12 and earlier - 2 concurrent activations
Capture One Fujifilm / (for Sony) 12 and later: 2 concurrent activations

Capture One Express Sony/ Nikon / Fujifilm 20
Licenses for Capture One Express were introduced in version 20. Each license allows one concurrent activation.

Deactivating Capture One seats
Each machine produces a unique identification number on our servers. Therefore, when a new machine is purchased, the operating system is reinstalled, hard drive rebuilt, or other major hardware changes occur, your computer can be identified as NEW in our database. This creates a need for additional activation.
To solve this issue effectively, you can deactivate a computer you are no longer using for running the Capture One software. Check the detailed instructions for deactivation in this article.
If you no longer have access to the machine that you need to deactivate, you can reset individual activations or entire licenses remotely. Check this article for more details.
