Sometimes errors may occur when activating a license. If you faced such a problem, first of all, please check the status of the activation service. You can do so using the following link https://activation.phaseone.com/Errors/ServiceStatus.aspx
If in response you received a message that the activation service is not working, then our technical specialists are already working on the problem. Soon the activation service will work again, please try to activate your license later.
If you got the response that "Activation service is alive" or it will give any other error it means that Capture One cannot connect with the license activation server.
In case you are experiencing this kind of issue, try the following:
- Make sure you are connected to the internet. Typically, disconnecting and reconnecting your internet connection should resolve it. In some cases, it will require a full router reset (this will refresh the DNS used);
- Make sure you are not using a VPN connection when activating Capture One. VPNs can also cause some confusion when trying to access the activation server. You should refrain from using VPNs when activating Capture One;
- Investigate whether your firewall isn't blocking Capture One's request. Whitelist CaptureOne.exe from any firewall applications that might be blocking the connection;
- Check that there are no overrides in your hosts file (This article describes how to do that);
- Uninstall and reinstall the application;
- If something is still blocking your connection, try renaming the file from Capture One 21.app to Capture One 21.1.app;
- If nothing from the above-mentioned options helped, try creating a new user on your workstation which won't have those restrictions.

paid good money for colorchecker need capture one to open a photo for one profile if i had known it was such a drag i would not have bought it, i will not be buying capture one or recommending it to anyone, will be looking for another option even if it costs me double.
Few days ago, I purchased Capture One 21/22 Pro. i was given a license to use when the 22 Pro will be released (YA7Y-5E7X-3UAM-9KEY). i also got a key to activate a 21 Pro software that I downloaded (5N3M-MXMX-CYAR-RUTC). The first key didn't allow me to activate the software, and the second key worked but it activated the program as a trial version. Why? I believe I purchased legally Capture One 21 Pro/ 22 Pro and the software should be fully activated. Right now, it keeps asking me to buy the version 21 Pro. Please provide me a key to activate version 21. And I hope that the first key will work for version 22.

I cant activate my license? Its says that my code its not found? I bought the program, Fujifilm camera offer kit and using the free trial version now. I am able to activate C1-23 16.0.2 but I am not able to with C1-23 16.2.1 with "This license code is not valid for this version of Capture One". I've uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times and 16.0.2 is confirmed to work.
